The ice hotel Quebec is formally known as Hôtel de Glace and has been in operation for over 10 years. It is typically open for approximately 10 weeks each winter dependent on the weather. The hotel is situated in the resort area of Sainte-Catherine-De-La-Jacques-Cartier approximately a half-hour north of Quebec City.

A cocktail party with drinks served in square, sparkly, ice tumblers at the Ice Bar with dancing at the N'Ice Club can all be accommodated at the hotel.
Your night is not complete until you dip into the sauna before heading to your own nordic cocoon. Each suite is uniquely designed with features that may include elaborate carvings and a fireplace.
A warm sleeping bag and pillow will be brought to your room where you will spend your unforgettable wedding night sleeping on a bed of ice (a foam mattress will separate you from the cold).
If this sounds like just too much ice, snow and chilly temperatures then option number two may be more your style. Exchange your vows in the same romantic, ice chapel then continue the festivities at an alternate venue in Quebec City or the surrounding area.
