Shower Cleaning

Shower cleaning can be one of the most unpleasant household tasks, especially if you have to breathe in all those fumes.

Not any more! Try my natural shower cleaning solution.

I use the following cleaning solution recipe for cleaning my shower and bathroom:
Gallon & 1/2 (6L) of hot water
1 Cup of White Vinegar
1/2 cup baking soda
10 drops of Eucalyptus or Tea Tree Oil

Mind you, this mixture can still be unpleasant to the nose, but it does the same cleaning job and is much easier on your lungs and eyes.

You can also soak your shower head in a small bucket of hot water and vinegar (equal parts)to clean it.

The above mixture is good to get rid of mildew, to clean glass and to scrub tiles. Use a toothbrush to scrub out extra crud from tiles, edges and the shower head.

A good method to go about cleaning your shower goes:
1)Remove everything from the shower including hair products, razors, tub mats and loofahs.
2)Rinse shower with hot water to wash down hair, dirt, etc.
3)Start from the top down. Start scrubbing with a good sponge to take off any residue. Use the toothbrush to loosen any corners or edges.
4)Clean glass. Use a dry towel to polish them clear.
5)Scrub the tub or base.
6)Rinse again, and polish fixtures.

It sounds crazy but I actually love cleaning the shower because it's so satisfying to see it sparkle when it's all done!
